Fractions - Multiplying and Dividing

There are two simple steps to multiplying fractions.

1. Multiply the top numbers (the numerators).

2. Multiply the bottom numbers (the denominators).

You can divide a fraction by an integer (whole number) in just one step.

Multiply the denominator of the fraction by the whole number.

Fractions - Simplest Form

You can simplify a fraction if the numerator (top number) and denominator (bottom number) can both be divided by the same number (i.e. have a common factor).
